A Choice Worth Making

At Troop 205, we firmly believe that the more direct experience a Webelos has with various Boy Scout Troops, the more informed their decision can be when the time comes to select a Troop to crossover to.

Some boys like to camp a lot, some like to hike, some like the water. Webelos can find many fine Troops in the area that will maximize their exposure to these activities.

At Troop 205 we defy labeling ourselves as the "XYZ" Troop. Our Scouts plan and hold events from canoeing to hiking, summer camps to sleep overs, biking to skating. In a nutshell, we offer a well-rounded program with a variety activities and events that capture our Scouts interests.

Merit Badges? Rank Advancement? Leadership - Troop 205 provides many opportunities that allow you to progress as quickly or as slowly as you want.

Webelos - Sleep Over - Movie and Fun Night

Hello Webelos,

Here are some details on another of our yearly Fun events:  January 22nd to 23rd.

Annual Winter Sleep Over:  Held at the Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church on Old William Penn Highway at Tarr HollowRoad
We start at the event at the ARC for Open Gym time, where a variety of games will be played then
we go to the Fellowship Hall area for the Movie portion of the evening. 
The scouts will have snacks and freshly made Pizza.

Bring your sleeping bag so you can go downstairs in the Common Ground and fall asleep with a warm fire in the fireplace.

We will wake up in the morning clean up our gear while Scouts are prepareing food and Breakfast will be at 8:00am.

We will be offering a craft. You can make this for your Mom for Valentines day.

If you plan on staying we will be serving lunch at 11:30. 
After we clean-up we will travel to Center Ice in Delmont for the public Ice Skating from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

Webelos Event - FEBRUARY 2010 (REVISED) (Annual Winter Cabin Outting)

What: INVITAITON TO ALL WEBELOS (II's and I's)

When: Saturday in February 2010 (Details to being worked on)

Where: Laurel Highlands area, near Hidden Valley

Why: ANNUAL Troop 205 Winter Cabin Camping Event

Give the Webelos a chance to spend time with the Scouts and get to know each other.  Learn skills that are used during this season (Winter).

We will be near the Laurel Highland Trails so how about a WALK ABOUT?  Have you heard of Geo Caching?  Have you heard of Woodman's Stew?

This weekend is planned as a outing for the Scouts toward their Rank advancements.  We would like to Invite the Webelos up on Saturday for a day of fun, food and fellowship.

Ideas being discussed are Hiking, Cooking, Sleding, Tubing, and Games.  New skills will be shared with the Webelos.
